Job Description

As a GMW Rigger at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you’ll play a key role in safely delivering rigging and scaffolding activities across site operations. This hands-on position utilises your technical expertise to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver rigging and scaffolding duties across maintenance and operational activities
  • Manage scaffold registers and maintain traceability of equipment, inspections, and training records
  • Lead the process for identifying, tagging, and managing out-of-service equipment for repair or replacement
  • Inspect, maintain, and test rigging equipment, ensuring faults are reported and addressed promptly
  • Assist with plant maintenance activities and provide support to tradespeople and production teams as required

Requirements

  • Current High Risk Work Licences in Scaffolding, Rigging, and Dogging
  • Demonstrated experience in an industrial or maintenance environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive approach to safety
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively
  • Forklift, Mobile Crane, Skid Steer, Gantry Crane, or an HR Licence will be highly regarded
