Job Description

Etched is hiring a GM to build and lead our full Taiwan operations across ASIC, Software, Platform, Production, and Operations. This is a senior general management role responsible for all Etched activities in Taiwan — including site leadership, operational execution with OEM/ODM global partners, product development, end-to-end customer enablement and organizational growth. The GM will craft and develop high-performing teams, aligned with Etched’s mission to bring the fastest AI hardware to market in the world. They will be chiefly responsible to build teams emblematic of Etched’s core values of speed and execution across local challenges and global priorities. As Etched's most senior leader in APAC, this critical role will drive our global scaling strategy by building the Taiwan site into a core hub for engineering and manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Site Leadership & Operations: Build and lead Etched’s Taiwan site
  • Hire and establish cross-functional engineering teams
  • Own day-to-day operations across engineering, production, and business functions
  • Set long-term strategic priorities for Taiwan teams and drive execution priorities aligned with Etched’s global roadmap
  • Oversee office operations, infrastructure, IT, and administrative processes to extending Etched’s world-class working environment
  • Direct site-level financial and headcount resourcing, efficient growth and investment
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Lead coordination across Taiwan-based teams in ASIC, Software, Platform, and Production
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between Taiwan and global teams across goal setting, timeline execution, and deliverable quality
  • Build scalable mechanisms for program tracking, reporting, and decision-making across functional boundaries
  • Anticipate operational risks and drive proactive resolution to maintain delivery and quality standards
  • Strategy & Growth: Define and execute Etched’s long-term Taiwan strategy
  • Including site scaling, talent development, and infrastructure expansion
  • Establish strong relationships with regional partners, vendors, and government stakeholders
  • Represent Etched mission and interests in Taiwan’s technology ecosystem, create visibility and credibility
  • Culture & People: Role-model and sustain Etched’s high-ownership, high-accountability culture
  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional talent across engineering and operational roles
  • Promote open communication and collaboration across Taiwan and global teams

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience leading large, cross-functional teams in AI technology, manufacturing, or semiconductor environments
  • Proven track record managing complex organizations across engineering and operational units
  • Deep understanding of Taiwan’s technology ecosystem — including talent market, supply chain, and regulatory landscape
  • Strong Mandarin and English leadership and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in AI software and hardware, semiconductors, or datacenter-scale systems
  • Prior leadership in a global technology company or high-growth startup environment
  • Familiarity with cross-region organizational management and multi-site scaling
