Job Description

As a Global Website Operations & Development Manager reporting into the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Atlas HXM’s global web presence across the entire stack, with a primary focus on front-end development and user-facing features. Collaborating with the Global Website Operations & Development Lead on a daily basis, you will implement technical solutions and features, ranging from responsive interfaces and CMS integrations to back-end functionality, delivering results that serve our customers across 160+ countries and multiple languages. This is a pivotal role for a versatile, pragmatic developer who thrives on translating technical direction from marketing stakeholders into quality execution and excels in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where close coordination, collaboration, and consistent delivery are essential.

Job Responsibility

  • Front-End Development (Primary Focus): Build responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (native), ensuring consistency across our global website presence and multiple locales
  • CMS Implementation & Management: Work extensively with our headless CMS (Storyblok) to implement content structures, create reusable components, manage multi-locale content architecture, and enable seamless content workflows for marketing teams
  • Back-End Development Support: Contribute to server-side functionality using PHP, including API integrations, data processing, and business logic implementation, with guidance from your manager
  • Feature Implementation: Translate requirements and design specifications into functional website features, working across the full stack to deliver complete, integrated solutions
  • Quality Assurance & Testing: Debug and resolve issues across different browsers, devices, locales, and server environments, ensuring our website delivers reliable experiences globally
  • Code Maintenance: Work within our established bespoke codebase, understanding existing architecture and making improvements while maintaining system stability and consistency
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with marketing, design, and content teams to understand requirements, document development processes, and contribute to building team knowledge

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript with a solid understanding of DOM APIs, event handling, and AJAX/XHR requests without relying on component frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
  • Solid PHP experience including procedural development - comfortable working in non-framework environments and maintaining existing codebases. Ability to read, modify, and write PHP code for server-side logic, data processing, and API integrations
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling
  • Understanding of web performance optimization and SEO fundamentals
  • Ability to work across the stack - comfortable context-switching between front-end and back-end tasks
  • Proven ability to read, understand, and work within existing codebases and established patterns
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical quality with business velocity
  • Strong ability to follow technical direction and implement solutions according to specifications
  • Self-directed work style with the ability to take ownership of features end-to-end with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams across time zones

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in regulated industries or enterprise environments
  • Experience with Git (or other) version control and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms (Storyblok, Contentful, or similar)
  • Linux command line familiarity and basic server administration
  • Multi-language/multi-locale website development experience

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work with a purpose — simplifying global expansion across borders and cultures
  • A diverse and inclusive environment
  • Country-specific benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • Your birthday off and a day for you to volunteer and give back to the organization of your choice
  • Generous Parental Leave Program
  • Growth and development opportunities with access to a top learning content provider
