Job Description

As an expert in export control and customs, you will leverage your experience with IT implementations and process improvements to support ASML's Trade Data Management (TDM) team in continuously improving our processes and upgrading our application landscape in the coming years.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute the improvement roadmap for Trade Data Management, ASML and its related companies related to export control and customs compliance
  • Represent the Trade Data Management team as a key user in projects: provide our requirements, create and execute test scripts, create training materials and work instructions for the deliverables relevant to our team
  • Identify and implement improvements that will smoothen our processes and decrease compliance risks
  • Continuously align with your peers in the Trade Data Management team to ensure that solutions are supportive of each other
  • Establish good working relationships at various levels with relevant departments within ASML (for example Development & Engineering)
  • Work independently whilst maintaining proper alignment with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field like (applied) physics, mechatronics, electronics or comparable, or law, compliance or auditing or comparable
  • 7+ years of work experience in export control in tech companies
  • Knowledge of and experience with the EU and U.S. export laws and regulations as well as with customs regulations, in specific determining classifications
  • Experience with transaction and sanctioned party screening applications
  • Experience with determining export control classifications of technology, software and/or products
  • Experience with SAP ERP and SAP GTS systems
  • Experience with implementation of software solutions in the global trade domain
  • Experience with and understanding of multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong drive with a hands-on, structured, accurate and result-oriented working style
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and drive others, build relationships and influence other functional areas
  • Ability to cope with a multicultural, dynamic and changing and complex environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business issues into simple problem statements, clear processes and actions
  • Good time management skills and able to manage towards tight deadlines
  • Take ownership of issues from start to finalization
