At Coloplast, our Group Business Ethics & Compliance function plays a vital role in supporting colleagues worldwide to make good choices with integrity, transparency, and accountability always guided by our purpose to make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs. As a global team covering all Coloplast Group business areas and regions and key program areas such as our Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Sanctions, Export Control, HCP engagements and other similar critical areas, we partner closely with the business to build a strong, proactive compliance culture. The Group Business Ethics & Compliance function reports to the Coloplast Group General Counsel and part of our Group Legal, IP and Business Ethics function with separate reporting line to the Coloplast Group Audit Committee. As a Global Trade & Sanctions Manager you will lead and execute our global Sanctions and Export Controls program. This pivotal role will ensure adherence to U.S., EU, UK, and other international regulations throughout the medical device lifecycle. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with various teams, including commercial, supply chain, R&D, and our business areas, to safeguard patient access and mitigate geopolitical and regulatory risks through strong governance and risk-based decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and further develop our Coloplast Sanctions and Export Control framework
Ensuring compliance with U.S. (EAR/OFAC), EU, UK, and UN regulations
Developing global Country of Origin overview and framework together with relevant functions
Oversee HS classification, licensing processes, and record retention
Partner with key stakeholder functions, such as tax, supply chain, manufacturing to ensure oversight
Assess high-risk markets, trade risks and provide timely guidance on geopolitical developments
Ensuring that our export licenses are managed and always monitored
Audit and monitor export-control effectiveness across products and data
Develop and maintain policies and documentation to support Compliance program initiatives
Deliver training and communications to embed requirements across business and support functions
Explore technology solutions to streamline and monitor our sanctions and export control processes
Operate our Sanctions & Geopolitical taskforce – ensuring that relevant stakeholders are kept informed
Conduct regulatory monitoring and support VP, Group Chief Compliance Officer with reporting and data
Support our third-party due diligence program, ensuring effective ownership/control analysis
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in international Trade, Law, Political Science, Supply Chain, or a related field
5+ years of experience in sanctions, export control, or global trade compliance in a multinational setting
Strong knowledge of U.S. (EAR, OFAC), EU, and UK sanctions and export control regimes, including licensing, HS codes, Country of Origin and re-export controls
Familiarity with KYC, third-party due diligence, and restricted-party screening
Strong communication and training skills within a global, cross-functional environment
Nice to have:
Master's degree in law or Commercial Law
Professional certification in Sanctions or global trade compliance (e.g., CITCS, Certified Export Compliance Specialist)
Relevant experience in the medical device, life sciences, or similarly regulated healthcare industries
