Coty’s Global Tax Team plays a strategic and operational role in enabling business growth and financial efficiency whilst ensuring global tax compliance. The team works closely with local market teams to ensure compliance and consistency in our ways of working. We act as trusted advisors, providing expert input on commercial transactions and supporting senior management. Our input is requested and considered for strategic decision making. The tax team operates multi countries – United States, Netherlands, Singapore and in Poland. Our dynamic international team brings deep expertise and proactive collaboration across the organization. In this role, your activities involve all technology and automation activities around the indirect tax activities worldwide. You will be the main focal point within global Tax and IT to translate business needs into system requirements, to lead the implementation of tax systems and to ensure limited business disruption.
Job Responsibility:
Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Coty’s global indirect tax technology infrastructure, focusing on VAT/GST and emerging compliance areas (e.g., plastic tax, CBAM, e-reporting, e-invoicing)
Align the indirect tax technology roadmap with Coty’s IT and AI/Data strategy, acting as the key liaison between Group Tax and IT
Advice on business initiatives from an indirect tax perspective, including M&A and reorganizations
Lead tax technology projects from blueprinting to deployment, ensuring feasibility, testing, and defect resolution
Oversee tax master data, invoice layouts, and intercompany lane setup, while supporting AR/AP function
Manage SAP conditions setups, administer indirect tax platforms such as EDGE, BlueDot, VATSearch, Pagero, and Concur
Provide tax setup guidance for DTC operations, including external systems like Shopify and Avalara
Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Customs, Procurement, and Group Tax to ensure tax compliance and translate complex requirements into business terms
Support local CFOs during audits and maintain the indirect tax control framework
Requirements:
Indirect Tax professional with 7+ years’ experience gained in an international environment – international company / BIG4
Dynamic individual looking to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment with significant transformation activity
Maintains a problem-solving mindset, an eye for detail and a high-quality analysis
Has dynamic and proactive people skills and a demonstrated ability to manage major corporate projects in various geographies
Excellent communicator with a strong team-player attitude, able to connect at multiple levels within the organization
Possesses ability to initiate and interact frequently with Tax Directors, CFOs, regional controllers, and other departments, and communicate effectively with a wide diversity of other stakeholders both internally as externally (i.e., advisors and tax authorities)
Fluency in English is a must
Self-starter with the ability to deliver End-to-End processes
Hands-on tax compliance systems as well as outstanding technical knowledge of ERP (S/4Hana, Ariba, etc)
Demonstrated experience in Tax compliance processes and strong affinity for Tax technology
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Being able to adapt to change is key
Perseverance is a must to be successful in the role
Nice to have:
Familiarity with SAP tax setup (e.g. tax conditions, tax codes) or experience as SAP Key User for Tax
Familiarity with tax tools e.g. Vertex
Experience working with indirect tax engine
Experience with ITX compliance in different jurisdictions
