Global Tax Manager, a pivotal role where you will directly shape our tax infrastructure and accelerate global business growth. You will own and oversee all aspects of our indirect tax, direct tax, and transfer pricing focus areas, with a strong mandate to drive continuous process and systems improvements. We are looking for an analytical, problem-solving, and decisive leader who will also foster a critical cross-functional understanding of tax, technology, and related processes within the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of income tax provisioning, including calculating current and deferred taxes, and preparing tax disclosures for financial statements
Oversee the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, ensuring their accurate and timely filings and related remittances
Ensure compliance with all transactional taxes, including VAT, GST, Sales Tax, and withholding taxes across our relevant jurisdictions
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of indirect tax returns and related remittances
Manage and coordinate tax related inquiries from various tax authorities
Manage and review transfer pricing documentation, provide benchmarking and ensure compliance in financial reporting
Monitor changes in direct and indirect tax legislation and assess the impact on the company's operations and systems
Maintain and document internal tax policies, processes, and controls
Manage relationships with external tax advisors
Manage compliance risks
Drive continuous improvement in tax processes through technology and automation
Requirements:
Master's degree in Taxation, Law, or Accounting
Minimum 7 years’ experience as a tax advisor, in-house tax manager in multinationals, or tax specialist at a tax authority
Proven expertise in corporate income tax, VAT and OECD guidelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
ability to work independently and proactively deliver results
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders
Fluent English and excellent communication and cooperation skills
Nice to have:
knowledge of US and Canadian sales tax is an advantage
