As our Global Sustainability Director, you'll provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight in the development of the company in a business oriented but sustainable manner. You would be responsible for activities related to sustainability compliance and reporting as well as support Scanfil's organization with tools, processes, and skills in company's sustainability management. This person will report to Chief Financial Officer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the group-wide sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth and long-term goals
  • Oversee and coordinate sustainability performance monitoring across all factories and regions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accountability
  • Lead the company’s European Green Deal reporting and ensure full compliance with relevant EU and other relevant sustainability regulations
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance across operations, including energy efficiency, emissions reduction, workplace health and safety, material compliance and responsible sourcing
  • Support the sales and supply chain management to support alignment of the sustainability actions with customers and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and integrate best practices into business operations
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, human resources, finance, and operations to embed sustainability into strategic decision-making
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely sustainability performance reports to group management and external stakeholders
  • Represent the company in external sustainability dialogues, audits, and industry forums

Requirements:

  • Relevant academic degree with a focus on sustainability, environmental management, or related fields, with strong knowledge of reporting frameworks and compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a global organization
  • Proven track record of leading sustainability initiatives across complex, multi-site organizations
  • Deep understanding of European Green Deal, Material Compliance, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant sustainability regulations and frameworks
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term performance with long-term sustainability goals
  • Holistic thinker with a strong ability to connect environmental, social, and economic perspectives
