Job Description

We are seeking a Global Sourcing Manager (GSM) to lead sourcing and supplier strategy for IT infrastructure and technology services that enable scalable, secure, and reliable operations at 1X. This role is part of a team-based infrastructure sourcing organization, where category ownership is intentionally split across multiple Global Supply Managers based on experience and business needs. Candidates are not expected to have experience across all infrastructure categories. Depth in relevant areas is preferred over broad but shallow exposure.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned IT infrastructure and technology categories
  • Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Build and manage supplier relationships aligned to performance, cost, and scalability needs
  • Partner closely with IT, Security, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance
  • Support site IT buildouts, infrastructure scaling, and technology programs
  • Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and ensure compliance with commercial agreements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in global supply management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
  • Demonstrated depth in IT infrastructure and/or technology services sourcing (e.g., networking, data center, managed services, cloud-adjacent services)
  • Experience sourcing and negotiating services-based agreements, including SLAs, SOWs, and commercial terms
  • Proven ability to own sourcing end-to-end (strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution)
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, particularly in vendor and services environments
  • Experience partnering with IT, Security, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, startup-style environments

Nice to have

  • Experience sourcing managed IT services or network services
  • Familiarity with vendor performance management and SLA enforcement
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global IT infrastructure
