Job Description:

As a Risk specialist at EDP Renewables, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing key market risk indicators, analyzing market risk exposures, participating in the development and improvement of risk policies, contributing to the automation of recurring risk reports, and collaborating with internal teams to provide insights on exposures and risk control mechanisms.

Requirements:

University Degree and Graduate Degree (includes Master or other graduate level degrees) - Engineering
Experience in the energy sector, preferably in roles involving data analysis, trading, risk, or operations
Solid understanding of data-driven or market-oriented processes
Proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, or SQL
English – advanced level, Spanish – proficient

Nice to have:

Exposure to market risk concepts (e.g., Var, stress testing, exposure analysis)
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or asset-backed portfolios
Background in reporting, internal controls, or governance processes
Familiarity with quantitative models or risk modelling techniques
Knowledge about platforms like Datahub and Databricks
