Job Description

The Global Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction, roadmap, and operational excellence of PPG’s Jaggaer ePro and Air Freight products. This role ensures each product delivers measurable business value, aligns with Procurement’s global strategies, and maintains stable, high‑quality operations. The Product Owner also leads the Global Support Team, providing oversight into frontline support, global adoption, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and drive strategic direction, roadmap, and operational excellence of PPG’s Jaggaer ePro and Air Freight products
  • Own and continuously evolve a global, outcome-driven product roadmap
  • Conduct market, industry, and technology research
  • Define product vision, success metrics, and key objectives/results
  • Prioritize the backlog using data-driven decision frameworks
  • Lead Agile product management practices including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Own Project Management responsibilities for key initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with IT, product team, and external partners
  • Ensure high-quality, stable, and compliant product operations
  • Partner with ePro deployment team for smooth transition of support to operations
  • Act as primary liaison with Jaggaer and other platform vendors
  • Engage global stakeholders to gather requirements and drive adoption
  • Communicate roadmap progress, risks, decisions, and product performance
  • Manage and develop the Global Support Team
  • Oversee global governance, process standardization, and adherence to procurement policies
  • Manage product and team budgeting, vendor spend, and project financials
  • Implement an operational strategy for products post deployment
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and simplification

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product analyst, or equivalent product roles
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Contract (S2C), and Supplier Management processes
  • Experience with Jaggaer, Coupa, Ariba procurement platforms, or ERP systems preferred
  • Demonstrated success working in Agile environments
