The Global Product Manager, Lab Automation will assist in the managing of the global Kiestra™ Laboratory Automation portfolio of products through its entire lifecycle, including strategy development and process improvement initiatives for supply, demand and allocation strategies, product life cycle management and support Cost-to-Win (CTW) initiatives. In this role you will guide the innovative planning, development, and commercialization of our laboratory automation solutions. This role is crucial to driving growth and market leadership in diagnostic and life science sectors by providing groundbreaking automation technologies that improve efficiency and accuracy worldwide.
Job Responsibility:
Define and complete the global product strategy and roadmap for assigned lab automation platforms
Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and cross-functional teams to translate market requirements into detailed product specifications and drive successful new product introductions (NPIs)
Carry out comprehensive market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities and threats
Acquire and combine voice-of-customer (VOC) insights to support product development and portfolio decisions
Build comprehensive arguments for new product initiatives, including financial projections, return on investment analysis, and risk assessments to secure investment and prioritization
Build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with internal collaborators across R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams
Represent BD as a subject matter expert in lab automation at industry conferences, customer meetings, and internal forums, articulating product value and strategic vision
Observe product outcomes, market developments, and rival activities to discover opportunities for portfolio refinement, improvements, and rationalizations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of progressive experience in product management experience
Demonstrated experience with laboratory automation, robotics, or complex instrumentation
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing global products
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, diagnostic testing, or drug discovery processes
Proficiency in market analysis tools and financial modeling
Outstanding critical thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences across all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
Results-oriented with a strong business acumen and customer focus
Ability to travel globally up to 20% of the time, as required

MBA or advanced degree
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics industry
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE-IVD) for medical devices or diagnostics
