Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce. This is a contract-to-permanent position located in Chicago, Illinois, within the detail-oriented services industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex payroll systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a multi-state workforce exceeding 500 employees
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution, including tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to streamline payroll operations and maintain data integrity
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll discrepancies and improve processes
  • Handle payroll audits and reporting to ensure transparency and accuracy
  • Oversee the implementation of payroll policies and procedures across global operations
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team, fostering development and growth
  • Analyze payroll metrics and generate insights for process optimization
  • Assist with onboarding new employees regarding payroll policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll management
  • Expertise in handling payroll for over 500 employees across multiple states
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

Experience in global payroll operations is a plus
