The Global Payments Operations Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of global payment transactions across multiple channels, including ACH, wire transfers, credit and debit card payments, integrated payment platforms, and lockbox services. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance with internal controls, and alignment with global banking standards. The analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external banking partners to support daily operations and continuous process improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Execute and monitor daily payment transactions including ACH, wire transfers (domestic and international), credit card, debit card, Flywire, PayNearMe, and integrated payment systems
Manage lockbox operations and ensure timely application of incoming payments
Reconcile payment activity and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Process credit card chargebacks on various payment platforms
Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and regulatory requirements
Maintain documentation and audit trails for all payment activities
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis
Liaise with banking partners to resolve payment issues and optimize transaction processing
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments
Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and enhance automation
Develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance metrics
Assist in the implementation of new payment technologies and platforms
Provide Tier 1 support for payment-related inquiries from internal departments
Escalate complex issues to appropriate stakeholders and follow through to resolution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
2–4 years of experience in treasury operations, banking, or payment processing
Strong understanding of global payment systems including ACH, SWIFT, Fedwire, card networks, and lockbox services
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and urgency
Nice to have:
Experience with integrated payment platforms and treasury management systems is a plus
