Job Responsibility:
Strategic Oversight of Global Mobility Programs: Provide vision and direction for global mobility initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term talent strategies
Policy Design and Governance: Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive global mobility policies, ensuring adherence to international standards, legal compliance, and inclusive practices
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with senior leaders across HR, payroll, finance, and legal departments to ensure seamless execution of international assignments and strategic talent management
Vendor Partnerships and Relationship Management: Establish and optimize relationships with external service providers, including immigration consultants, relocation specialists, and tax advisors, to deliver exceptional service quality
Risk Management and Compliance: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with international assignments, including legal liabilities, tax implications, and geopolitical challenges, by implementing proactive measures
Global Talent Strategy Integration: Contribute to the design and execution of strategies that enhance talent mobility within and across regions, fostering a resilient and diverse workforce
Financial Planning and Budgeting: Oversee budget allocation for global mobility programs, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining a high standard of support for expatriates
Data Analytics and Insights: Leverage data to provide actionable insights on global mobility trends, program effectiveness, and talent outcomes, enabling evidence-based decision-making
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Monitor global mobility operations and identify areas for improvement. Lead initiatives to innovate processes, implement technology, and adopt industry best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and guide the Global Mobility team, fostering professional growth and cultivating expertise within the department
Global C&B Projects: In addition to these responsibilities, the role also may entail participation in one or several global projects within the C&B domain, such as but not limited to compensation philosophy, incentive scheme harmonization, global performance management, global grading, global benefits management, HR data management or HRIS etc. These projects aim to enhance the organization's employee benefits initiatives, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with global standards and best practices. The candidate will collaborate with cross-regional teams to implement these strategies effectively when assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's compensation and benefits frameworks
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in global mobility, compensation & benefits (C&B), or international HR
Deep knowledge of international immigration laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards
Strong client service orientation with the ability to provide excellent support to employees and managers
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and motivate team members
Expertise in building and enhancing team performance
Capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams such as HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing business needs and provide strategic support
