Job Responsibility:
Leads Procurement and Contract negotiation of complex logistics services in Surface transportation/ last-mile, Parcel, Warehousing and Brokerage service
Responsible for optimising the cost of the assigned region & mode and managing significant financial spend budget for the assigned region
Accountable for executing the Procurement Logistics Partner strategy for the region
Creates multi-year strategies for logistics network optimisation across multiple stakeholders
Evaluate key market drivers of logistics cost & services and publish region & country-specific logistics market intelligence regularly
Builds strategic relationships and actively partners with multiple internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers at the VP and SVP level regularly
Independently drives and executes HPE’s logistics sourcing initiatives - multiple RFPs/ tenders/ contract negotiations in a year
Negotiates and completes contracts with highly complex and critical suppliers
Collaborates with peers as a team player in multi-modal, cross-region synergies
Curious learner, ability to commit and lead, pushes for better
Requirements:
First-level university degree or equivalent experience
advanced university degree preferred
Typically, 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain or related function
Proven performer in the 3PL industry or Logistics Procurement function
Extensive know-how of developing Warehousing & Surface/ Land Transportation modes
Deep knowledge of logistics marketplace and commercial pricing of any of the logistics modes
Advanced ability to partner with logistics suppliers in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building
Adept at negotiation of logistics commercials and timely management of contractual agreements
Advanced analytical and data modelling skills
Ability to multi-task and navigate between strategic & hands-on work effectively
Ability to close complex deals in a timely fashion
Advanced business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and supply chain modelling skills
