Job Responsibility

  • Troubleshoot platform-related issues, with a focus on identifying and resolving system bottlenecks
  • Provide solutions and alternative approaches, negotiating with customers about the best ways to overcome issues
  • Use logging and troubleshooting tools to identify performance bottlenecks and perform root-cause analysis
  • Bridge with internal teams to be a part of our product’s continuous improvement process
  • Interact with many different people from different countries, backgrounds, and cultures, both internally and with customers

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge in troubleshooting Application Servers (IIS) performance issues and able to clearly communicate recommendations for improvement
  • Intermediate knowledge of Databases and query optimization (SQL Server and Oracle)
  • Foundational knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, SSH
  • Degree in Engineering or other technology-related degrees (BSc, MSc). 4 years' work experience in lieu of degree
  • Tech savviness and drive to solve complex problems with the ability to deconstruct problems into smaller pieces, with little or no preset resolution pattern
  • Fluency in English and Japanese is a must
  • .NET web apps (C#, ASP.NET)
  • Java, JavaScript, REACT, CSS, HTML
  • REST/SOAP web services, XML, XSD
  • Mobile tech (Objective C, iOS Apps, Android Studio, Cordova/PhoneGap)
