Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Global IP Engineer to join our Core Transport – International Networks team within Vodafone Network Operations. Based in Pune, India, this role focuses on managing, troubleshooting, and optimising enterprise network infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Cisco ACI technology. The individual will act as a key escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring high availability and performance across complex multi-technology environments. This is a real-time operational role requiring deep expertise in routing, switching, data centre networks, and security technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to operations teams, ensuring timely resolution and knowledge transfer
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of high-severity network incidents involving MPLS, IPSEC, and VRF
  • Configure and maintain APIC controllers, Nexus 9000 switches, and spine-leaf topology
  • Manage lifecycle activities including device upgrades, patches, and failover testing
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and propose preventive measures
  • Develop automation scripts using Python/Ansible for ACI operations
  • Monitor ACI health, fabric utilisation, and proactively address anomalies using APIC dashboards, SNMP, and Syslog
  • Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational standards and participate in change management processes
  • Interface with vendors for support and escalation of hardware/software issues
