Job Description:

The Summer Internship is an intensive 10-week internship program with Global Investments. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the middle- and back-office functions that support Aflac’s Global Investments trading activity. The intern will gain an understanding of how trades move through the lifecycle—from execution to settlement—and how operational teams ensure accuracy, liquidity, and efficiency across a large portfolio of investment accounts. Working closely with trade operations professionals, the intern will develop foundational knowledge of investment operations, cash management processes, broker interaction, and process optimization within a highly regulated corporate investment environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support daily trade operations activities across Aflac investment entities, including trade processing, settlement support, and reconciliation tasks
  • Assist with operational reviews across multiple investment accounts to help ensure accuracy, sufficient cash positioning, and timely trade settlement
  • Partner with internal teams and external brokers to help resolve trade-related inquiries and support ongoing operational workflows
  • Contribute to small process-improvement projects by documenting procedures, identifying efficiency opportunities, and assisting with basic automation or reporting enhancements using Excel
