Job Description:

The Global HR Leader reports directly to our Chief People Officer, and forms part of the Global People Function. In this role, you work closely with the other teams from the Global People Function (Strategy & Innovation, L&D and Talent Acquisition). You will have 5 direct reports, distributed over the different countries we work in. You will advise local leadership on critical matters in countries without a dedicated, local HR professional. With our stellar growth, the HR function is critical to our sustainable success. Whilst many things are already developed and implemented, there is still a lot for you to do. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make your mark and to have a far-reaching impact. To succeed, you need to be a strategic and pragmatic leader with a passion for people, collaboration, making a lasting impact, and finding innovative ways to further enhance HR and People outcomes in our fast-paced professional services environment. You need to be comfortable with uncertainty, flexible, and pragmatic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business objectives, challenges, and culture to effectively align HR initiatives with organizational goals, whilst promoting positive employee relations and contributing to a supportive workplace atmosphere
  • Be responsible for the development, enhancement, implementation, and global alignment of HR processes and policies. Including, but not limited to key talent management activities: e.g. onboarding & offboarding, internal mobility & immigration, compensation & benefits, etc.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support in the ongoing supervision and professional development of your team
  • Provide guidance and support to leadership and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with local labour law requirements and acting as an internal consultant for global best practices and policies
  • Oversee complex employee relations issues, and conduct relevant, effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintain broad knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department and external specialists as needed/required
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required
  • master’s degree preferred
  • 10 years+ of experience in various HR and people-related areas of business, multinational, professional services, technology, or consulting industry exposure preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation & benefits, organizational diagnosis, DEIB, performance management, and respective employment laws
  • Keen awareness of industry trends, the evolution of HR, and showcased continued professional development
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies in collaboration with Legal
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Ability to deal with complex issues in a confidential, professional, and sensitive manner
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a global team remotely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch
