Job Description:

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Global Head of Real Estate ESG and Sustainability. Real Estate Services creates inclusive, digitally enabled spaces for meaningful collaboration and experiences, while ensuring safe, sustainable, and resilient operations for HSBC and all the people around us. This role would report to the Global Head of Real Estate Services and will be responsible for defining the business outcomes of RES technology change, and ensuring these are delivered across all functions, geographic sites and regulatory jurisdictions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advise function and regional leads on Real Estate Services Products and Digital offerings – feasibility, timings, dependencies, issues etc.
  • Deliver the Real Estate Services OKRs in-line with execution plans to internal clients, including Regional teams, GCOO and Global Businesses
  • Drive prioritization of Real Estate Services product and features backlog, focusing on value to RES
  • Deliver an effective and efficient Real Estate Services and Technology change delivery process globally and work with local leadership to implement in-site
  • Provide direct supervision and support for large change projects, including Cloud initiatives
  • Drive a culture of achievement and ensure pace by identifying and removing barriers to success
  • Develop Product management and digital experience expertise across Real Estate Services
  • Partner with other Real Estate Services leadership teams to facilitate GCOO executive decision making
  • Effectively engage a diverse group of internal customers and stakeholders while managing and delivering the various Real Estate Services and Technology activities
  • Work with senior stakeholders across GB/GFs to ensure direction of Real Estate Services is fully understood, syndicated and compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with GCOO and other relevant GB/GF strategy
  • Support HSBC team with Real Estate Services and Technology matters, including Specification of project requirements, Estimation of time and resources required, Design of work plans and milestones, Assembly of change team to coordinate execution, and Support in user acceptance testing activities
  • Build a high performing network globally across Real Estate Services, with an emphasis on consistent delivery quality
  • Lead Real Estate Services teams globally, including Country and Legal Entity teams where required
  • Provide global leadership in cross-functional decision making
  • Clearly communicate progress, issues and successes to the Real Estate Services community and other relevant stakeholders
  • Build a mutually beneficial, collaborative partnership with Technology.

Requirements:

  • Strategic thinker and pragmatic implementer able to develop efficient methods of bringing about change, with significant experience in the delivery of change within the relevant Real Estate Services business domain
  • Industry leading project management capabilities with a track record of successfully designing and delivering large-scale, complex global change projects
  • Exceptional drive, motivation and commitment and focus on operational excellence
  • Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives
  • Relevant knowledge of the Group’s Technology function
  • Understanding of the Real Estate Services and Technology operating model at Group, Business and Country levels
  • Understanding of HSBC Real Estate Services and GCOO systems
  • Experience in applying digital technologies, e.g. automation, machine learning etc.
  • Good understanding of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors, etc.
  • Solid leadership skills with experience in managing people in a large matrix organisation, including successful experience in developing and retaining critical talent.
