Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and lead the Group Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across UK, European, and global operations, aligned to business growth and operational objectives
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to HSE teams across multiple sites, with autonomy to shape team structure and capability
  • Oversee risk management, legal compliance, auditing, and assurance processes, driving continuous improvement and consistent standards across the group
  • Champion a strong HSE culture and wellbeing agenda, embedding proactive safety, health, and mental wellbeing initiatives across all locations
  • Analyse HSE data and performance metrics to deliver actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making at senior leadership level

Requirements

  • An innovative, energetic HSE leader with clear career progression, ambition, and a track record of driving change
  • Background in FMCG, fresh produce processing, manufacturing, or food retail environments, ideally within fast-paced, high-volume operations
  • Strong knowledge of UK and EU HSE legislation, with NEBOSH qualification
  • Demonstrable success in delivering measurable safety improvements through leadership, engagement, and data-led decision-making
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic capability, with the confidence to influence at senior and operational levels
