We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader to build and scale our global Competitive Intelligence (CI) function. As Head of Global Competitive Intelligence, you will own AlphaSense’s point of view on our competitive landscape across products, markets, and go-to-market motions, and you will translate that intelligence into clear choices about where and how we win. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on win rates, deal velocity, roadmap decisions, and strategic planning.
Job Responsibility:
Define the multi-year CI strategy and operating model for AlphaSense
Lead a high-impact CI function (including people, processes, and tooling) that serves as the single source of truth on competitors and market dynamics
Partner closely with Product, Revenue, Enablement, and Executive leadership to inform product strategy, pricing and packaging, positioning, and the tactics we use to compete and win key deals
Set the Vision and Strategy
Drive Market and Competitive Insight
Inform Product and Roadmap Decisions
Enable the Field and Improve Win Rates
Measure Impact and Continuously Improve
Requirements:
8 to 12 or more years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related function, ideally in B2B SaaS for financial services
Proven track record building or significantly scaling a competitive or market intelligence function that influenced product strategy and go-to-market execution
Deep experience synthesizing data from multiple sources, such as product benchmarks, customer insights, product teardowns, win and loss analysis, analyst research, financial filings, expert calls, and news, and turning that into clear, actionable recommendations
Excellent storyteller and communicator who can build crisp narratives and present confidently to senior executives, sales teams, and product teams
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority
Experience managing and developing talent, and comfort leading a small, high-performing team while remaining hands-on with core work
Strong bias toward action and an interest in moving quickly from insight to experiment to scaled program
Nice to have:
Strong knowledge of capital markets and financial services segments, such as hedge funds, asset managers, private equity, investment banking, and corporates
