Job Description

I’m hiring for a Head of Business Development to join a growing EU-based Biologics CDMO with a global customer base and an expanding platform across complex biologics and advanced therapies. This is a role for someone who already knows the CDMO market from the inside. You will understand how to build trust with biotech and pharma customers, how to navigate long and technical sales cycles, and how to position development and manufacturing capabilities in a highly competitive global market. The business is looking for a senior commercial leader who can do more than manage accounts. This person will help open new strategic opportunities, strengthen global customer relationships, shape commercial direction, and support the next stage of international growth. There is also a clear longer-term opportunity to move toward broader commercial leadership responsibility.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading global business development across biotech and pharma customers
  • Building senior-level relationships with CMC, technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
  • Identifying, developing, and closing strategic CDMO opportunities
  • Positioning complex services across biologics, advanced therapies, GMP manufacturing, and related areas
  • Working closely with internal technical, quality, operations, and leadership teams to turn opportunities into long-term partnerships

Requirements

  • Senior business development experience within a Biopharma CDMO
  • Strong track record of winning biotech and pharma customers internationally
  • Good understanding of biologics, advanced therapies, viral vectors, plasmid DNA, cell therapy, GMP manufacturing, or similar services
  • Ability to manage complex, technical, high-value sales cycles
  • Commercial maturity, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate at executive level
