This role is a critical part of the team responsible for overseeing and operating Citi's global forecasting platform. This platform is utilized across various critical functions, including strategic planning, operational planning, scenario planning (CCAR/DFAST), and monthly accrual interest rate risk management. As the Model Onboarding Process Lead, you will be the primary liaison between the business, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) modelers, and technology teams. You will lead the onboarding and revision of models, equations, and associated data constructs into the forecast platform framework. This role requires a deep understanding of financial models, data structures, and technology integration.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor a team of model onboarding specialists
Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders
Oversee the technical onboarding of new and revised forecast models and equations
Analyze Citi’s Financial statements like P&L and Balance Sheet for macro-economic or qualitative driver-based trends
Add qualitative inputs to Finance stakeholders number reviews using tools like Python, SQL
Continuously evaluate and improve model onboarding processes
Identify opportunities to automate data flows, enhance validation procedures, and streamline integration efforts
Explore and champion the adoption of advanced modeling tools, languages, and flexible/interactive modeling environments
Contribute to the global implementation of common data and data standards
Ensure data integrity, validity, and accuracy throughout the model onboarding process
Adhere to Citi's data governance policies and procedures
Manage multiple model onboarding projects simultaneously
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Effectively prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and track progress
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their forecasting needs and ensure the platform meets their requirements
Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns
Assess and mitigate risks related to model onboarding, data quality, and platform stability
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in modeling processes, data analysis, and technology integration
Proven experience leading and managing teams
Deep understanding of financial models, forecasting methodologies, and data structures
Good knowledge of Banking products, how financial institutions make money and impact of macro-economic conditions on the industry
Strong technical skills, including experience with SAS, Java, Python, SQL, and Oracle DB
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance)
