Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Global Food Safety Manager to help build out and execute our Global Culinary food safety program. The Global Food Safety Manager is responsible for supporting, developing and implementing a food safety program across multiple markets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and Meta policies. This role involves collaboration with internal and external partners to uphold the highest food safety and quality standards while mitigating supply chain risks.

Job Responsibility

  • Support Food Safety Team to develop and lead global food safety policies, procedures and best practices
  • Maintain food safety data and audit information from third party vendors
  • Identify potential food safety risks and establish preventative controls
  • Support audits and inspections of internal and external vendor partners
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory changes
  • Monitor traceability programs to respond effectively to food safety incidents
  • Promote a food safety work environment across the organization through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze food safety trends and data to drive continuous improvement
  • Support cross functional teams in implementing food safety protocols
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure food safety is integrated into daily operations
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Global Food Safety
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health or a related field
  • Certifications in food safety management, such as: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) or ServSafe
  • Demonstrated experience in working knowledge of FDA, USDA, FSMA, Codex Alimentarius and international food safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and food safety software
  • Experience with relationship management and third-party management principles/best practices
  • Experience managing Third Party Service Delivery and Vendor Relationships
  • Experience with Food Service practices
  • Experience working on a truly global scale
  • Highly organized and capacity to manage multiple projects
  • Evidenced track record of prioritizing tasks and manage workloads effectively, and high level of discretion
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
