Job Description

A fast-growing, private equity–backed global SaaS company is seeking a Controller to lead and scale its accounting and financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing multi-entity accounting, revenue recognition, audits, lender compliance, and financial systems, while also serving as a strategic partner to Finance leadership. This role is well-suited for a CPA with SaaS experience. This role requires you to be onsite 3 days per week in their Atlanta office.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements across multiple domestic and international entities
  • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including subscription, usage-based, and services revenue
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, amortization, reallocations, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure timely, accurate close processes
  • Oversee accounts receivable, aging, and allowance assessments
  • Manage cash operations across multiple bank accounts, including payment approvals and reconciliations
  • Monitor lender covenant compliance and prepare required reporting packages
  • Coordinate annual audits across multiple jurisdictions and support tax and audit processes with external advisors
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly investor reporting packages
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support strategic initiatives such as M&A diligence, international expansion, and systems implementations
  • Research and resolve complex accounting matters to ensure US GAAP compliance
  • Own and optimize the accounting technology stack
  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • active CPA license required
  • 12+ years of accounting experience
  • 3+ years in a management role
  • experience in SaaS or technology environments
  • strong knowledge of ASC 606 and deferred revenue
  • background in private equity–backed organizations
