Job Description:

Groupon is looking for a Global Compensation Program Manager to lead and advance our global compensation frameworks, including base pay, annual bonuses, recognition, and equity programs (RSUs/PSUs). This expert will design and manage high-impact, scalable, and transparent compensation programs that empower managers to make confident data-driven decisions while helping employees understand their rewards. Reporting to the Head of Compensation & Benefits, this is both a strategic and hands-on role supported by a Compensation Analyst within a lean, globally distributed Compensation & Benefits team. The role offers an opportunity to modernize our approach with enhanced market intelligence, improved communication of our employee value proposition, and increased efficiency through automation and AI.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and govern compensation frameworks for base pay, bonuses, recognition, and equity, maintaining clear, documented, and user-friendly global policies
  • Lead the annual compensation review process including planning, calibration, manager enablement, quality assurance, and insights delivery, partnering with the Compensation Analyst
  • Maintain competitive pay ranges using external market data and surveys, driving agile and timely benchmarking and range-setting
  • Manage geo-pay structures for hybrid and remote teams across multiple geographies
  • Ensure compliance with EU and US pay transparency regulations and lead communication efforts with managers and employees
  • Conduct regular pay equity analyses, track progress against KPIs, and deliver insightful dashboards covering compa-ratios, equity dilution, utilization, and budgets
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to co-design and implement effective compensation programs
  • Coach, guide, and partner with the Compensation Analyst, contributing to the growth and evolution of the global compensation function within a small, international team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global Compensation & Benefits roles, ideally across multiple companies and in high-growth or transforming tech/digital environments
  • Deep understanding of geo-pay policies, job leveling, equity programs, and compensation transparency practices
  • Hands-on experience with Workday and at least one other compensation platform, such as Anaplan, CURO, beqom, Pave, or Radford/Payscale
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented, outcomes-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, clear and approachable
  • Proven project and program management capabilities, able to deliver complex processes with agility
  • Growth mindset with potential to progress into broader C&B or HR leadership roles
  • Collaborative and transparent work style, inspiring trust across HR and leadership teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience with equity and/or sales incentive structures, especially in public companies
