Job Description

We are looking for a Team Leader to manage our Global Command Center team in Lisbon. This role involves coordinating with our teams in Portugal and Singapore, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage through effective scheduling, and maintaining high standards in documentation and process monitoring.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and organize the Global Command Center team in Portugal
  • Coordinate with teams in Singapore to ensure seamless global operations
  • Define and manage shift schedules to support a follow-the-sun model
  • Maintain and update the team’s skills matrix and operational documentation
  • Monitor and improve processes to ensure service excellence

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a production environment (ITIL Framework)
  • Technical expertise in TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and shell scripting
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle escalations effectively
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)
  • Availability for shift work: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Nice to have

Knowledge of TWS scheduling tools and French language skills

  • Responsible for the development and execution of Command Center communications strategy in support of Marriott’s digital and technology product transformations
  • Advance the communication strategy for the Command Center, including leading the overall communications approach, creating communications templates, tracking and messaging known issues, establishing review and approval processes and coordinating with program and continent communications leads and with other engaged disciplines
