Job Responsibility:
Lead sourcing strategies from the organisation's Madrid hub, partnering with R&D, Clinical Operations, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and Quality teams
Strengthen supplier relationships, implement governance frameworks, and embed consistency in sourcing standards and documentation
Influence strategy and implement sourcing frameworks across key areas including: Clinical trial services, CROs, and specialist providers
Biomarker, central lab, and bioanalytical services
Lab equipment, consumables, and scientific technology
Packaging, materials, and external manufacturing
Balance commercial value with compliance and quality outcomes - including GxP alignment, audit readiness, and risk management
Contribute to procurement governance and continuous improvement through reporting tools, dashboards, templates, benchmarking, and process optimisation
Requirements:
Proven experience in Clinical or R&D Procurement within pharma, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industries
Strong hands-on expertise with RFP/RFI cycles, rate cards, MSAs, SOWs, and vendor negotiations with clinical suppliers or CROs
Ability to conduct market analysis, benchmark services, and manage supplier performance using KPIs
Excellent stakeholder engagement across cross-functional teams (Clinical Ops, QA, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Technical)
Confidence with structured reporting, savings tracking, and procurement systems (e.g. Ariba, contract workflows, dashboards)
A proactive mindset for process improvement, simplification, and documentation consistency
Nice to have:
Professional qualification such as CIPS or equivalent is a plus
