We are looking for a Global Account Manager who will be responsible for the strategic management, retention, and growth of assigned multinational Global Accounts to join our team in Zurich.
Job Responsibility:
Building relationships with decision makers: Acting as a global coordination centre for the client's top management
Building and maintaining deep, trusting relationships with key decision makers, as well as with senior procurement and logistics executives around the world
Identification of strategic opportunities: Active search and provision of Control Tower (global centralised management of customer logistics) opportunities for assigned accounts
Management of commercial offers and contracts: Preparation of personalised, competitive commercial offers
Creation of optimal conditions for customers to choose our transport, logistics and additional services
Financial indicators and risks: Responsibility for meeting global sales Gross Profit volume and margin targets, as well as managing overdue debt across the entire customer portfolio
Service quality and satisfaction: Ensuring high service quality and achieving customer satisfaction targets (KPI/SLA)
Monitoring satisfaction levels (needs analysis, working with metrics, prompt problem solving)
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in global sales, Key Account Management, or Business Development within the freight forwarding sector
Deep functional knowledge of multi-modal freight forwarding operations (Ocean FCL/ LCL, Air Freight, and associated value-added services)
Proven track record of managing a multi-million Euro revenue portfolio
Extensive experience in leading large-scale, multi-modal international tenders (RFI/RFQ) and negotiating complex global service agreements
Ability to draft and execute data-driven Global Account Plans and long-term business development roadmaps
Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory for high-level negotiations
Proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and build credibility with C-level executives and global procurement heads
Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 50% of the time, incl. 8-12 intercontinental (incl. Europe -> Asia, excl. Europe -> CIS) trips per year
