SHEAR Glass & Aluminium is a Sydney‑based specialist in bespoke glass and aluminium solutions, delivering custom-made windows, doors, and other architectural glass/aluminium works for residential and commercial projects. They emphasise expert craftsmanship, reliable service using their own full-time staff, and a commitment to transforming spaces with high-quality, tailored glass and aluminium installations. As a Glazier at SHEAR Glass & Aluminium, you will be responsible for the installation and fabrication of high-quality glass and aluminium products for residential and commercial settings. This position requires precision, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Job Responsibility:

  • Read and interpret architectural drawings and plans for glass installations
  • Measure, cut, and shape glass to fit specific frames, windows, doors, and facades
  • Install glass panels including windows, shower screens, balustrades, and custom features
  • Use handheld and power tools to drill, grind, and polish edges for custom fittings
  • Seal joints and edges with putty, rubber strips, or sealants to ensure a tight, weatherproof fit
  • Handle, lift, and position large glass sheets using suction lifters and lifting equipment
  • Repair, replace, or remove broken or damaged glass with precision and safety compliance
  • Liaise with clients, builders, and project supervisors to deliver tailored glass solutions on-site

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification and/or relevant equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Glazier
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical plans
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to glazing and fabrication
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
