Job Description:

On behalf of our partner, we are looking for a General Ledger Team Leader to join their Solution Center Europe (SCE). This is a unique opportunity to shape financial processes from the ground up within a dynamic, international transition environment. In this role, you will lead the GL and Asset Accounting team and play a pivotal role in establishing the center’s foundation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hire, coach, and motivate a team of 10-15 FTEs
  • Manage workload, capacity planning, and create a motivating atmosphere during periods of change
  • Supervise daily transactions, approve journal entries, and manage month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple legal entities
  • Oversee asset master data, acquisitions, disposals, revaluations, and depreciation, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer, monitor process documentation (DTPs), and lead process optimization and automation projects
  • Collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager to establish KPIs and build professional relationships with international business partners.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Professional fluency in both German AND English is a must
  • 7–10 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record in people leadership, coaching, and mentoring
  • Solid experience in SAP (Navision is a plus) and familiarity with consolidation tools like HFM
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and experience managing multiple legal entities.
