Job Description:

The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a GIS Specialist - GPS data collection. This position will be assigned to the GPS data collection team. The position is scheduled to work Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collecting field data using GPS equipment
  • Interpreting civil construction plans
  • GIS data maintenance in ArcGIS environment

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in computer aided drafting and computer mapping and/or GPS surveying using GPS surveying equipment
  • A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice to have:

  • Operating GPS equipment in the field
  • Experience with GPS field data collection
  • Reading and interpreting civil engineering construction plans
  • Experience in ArcGIS Pro
  • GIS data maintenance using ArcGIS Pro
  • Familiarity with wet utility data
