The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a GIS Specialist - As-built Records Management. This position will be assigned to the As-built Records Management team. The position is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the potential for one remote workday per week following successful completion of probation.
Job Responsibility:
Update and maintain data in the City's Geographic Information System (GIS)
Review and catalog engineering as-built drawings in compliance with Federal, State and Local guidelines
Process public records requests related to engineering as-builts
Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED
3 years of experience in computer aided drafting and computer mapping and/or GPS surveying using GPS surveying equipment
A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Nice to have:
Ability to read, interpret, and categorize engineering and construction drawings
Experience with GIS data maintenance using ArcGIS
Experience in ArcGIS Pro
Familiarity with wet utility data
Experience in customer service with internal and external customers
