Job Description:

The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a GIS Specialist - As-built Records Management. This position will be assigned to the As-built Records Management team. The position is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the potential for one remote workday per week following successful completion of probation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Update and maintain data in the City's Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Review and catalog engineering as-built drawings in compliance with Federal, State and Local guidelines
  • Process public records requests related to engineering as-builts

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in computer aided drafting and computer mapping and/or GPS surveying using GPS surveying equipment
  • A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice to have:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and categorize engineering and construction drawings
  • Experience with GIS data maintenance using ArcGIS
  • Experience in ArcGIS Pro
  • Familiarity with wet utility data
  • Experience in customer service with internal and external customers
