Job Responsibility:

  • Collect, process, and analyze spatial datasets from various internal and external sources
  • Manage and maintain geodatabases, feature classes, and spatial layers within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem
  • Perform spatial queries, geoprocessing tasks, and proximity/overlay analyses to support operational and strategic decision‑making
  • Create and maintain ArcGIS Pro projects, ArcGIS Online content, StoryMaps, dashboards, and web maps
  • Develop and publish map services and feature services using ArcGIS Server/Enterprise
  • Support the configuration and customization of Esri applications such as Field Maps, Experience Builder, and Web AppBuilder
  • Write and maintain Python scripts using ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, and other libraries to automate repetitive workflows and data pipelines
  • Develop custom geoprocessing tools to improve data efficiency and accessibility
  • Integrate spatial data processes with external systems, APIs, and databases as needed
  • Produce high‑quality maps, spatial reports, and data visualizations for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Communicate geospatial findings clearly to non‑technical audiences
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including planning, engineering, operations, and IT—to understand and support GIS needs
  • Provide GIS technical support and training to team members
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and metadata standards for all spatial datasets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with GIS systems in a professional environment
  • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, geodatabases, and geoprocessing tools
  • Strong experience with Python, including ArcPy and/or ArcGIS API for Python preferred
  • Understanding of spatial analysis techniques, projections, and coordinate systems
