Job Description:

As a GIS Technician on our Construction Administration and Management team, you will aid our construction managers using ESRI’s suite of products to collect and manage data from ongoing construction projects. You will use your experience and proficiency as a data analyst with Esri software (ArcGIS Pro) and skills AutoCAD. You will review and manipulate data, perform in-depth analysis, and provide compelling visualizations to aid in construction projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participates in the development of GIS and CAD databases to support the construction administration team with a range of projects
  • Maintains maps, digitizing data collected from construction projects including utilities, earthwork, paving, and other data
  • Performs duties and troubleshooting by assisting team members in data collection using ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, Trimble Access, and other software
  • Good knowledge of the general principles of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), CAD (Computer Aided Design) and Trimble Business Center
  • Ability to work independently on requests for geographic information, prepare and interpret data in a range of digital formats

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Associates degree in GIS, Geography, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Must have at least five (5) years of relevant GIS experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to meet project deadlines
  • Previous heavy civil construction experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Survey123, Trimble suite, and CAD software preferred
