Deliver GIS, cartography and spatial analysis tasks to support environmental consulting scopes across: field planning and study plans
sourcing, analysing and mapping spatial data for desktop assessments
ensuring electronic field data collection capabilities in software forms and with device preparations
management and analysis of collected field data
geoprocessing for various purposes including data synthesis, extrapolation, enhancements or other analyses as reporting inputs
preparation of maps and other spatial figures for technical reports and other deliverables
preparation of datasets in accordance with various data standards, as required
Manage and deliver GIS-specific projects and scopes
Lead the ongoing development of company capability in the evolving technologies available for GIS and spatial analysis, including remote sensing, automation and machine learning.
Requirements
Bachelor degree (minimum) in GIS, Spatial Sciences, Geography, Cartography or equivalent
sound experience with GIS software (QGIS preferred)
2+ years’ experience in GIS, preferably in consulting
familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel essential)
initiative, self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills
excellent verbal and written communication skills
a proactive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional results in a team-focused environment
must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent work visa to be considered for this role.
