Job Description:

GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse Full Times are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse Full Times are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients
  • Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • ACLS Required
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
