Job Description

Star Actuarial, on behalf of a leading provider of non-standard motor risks, is currently representing an exciting, exclusive and fully remote reserving role which offers the potential to move into wider areas of the business including Capital Modelling, Reinsurance and Planning.

Job Responsibility

Produce a formal quarterly reserve review
Provide monthly updates to track claims developments
Assist with the development of the reserving process
Suggest and execute future developments
Perform additional analysis on timely issues
Suggest areas of uncertainty or risk which require a deep dive into the data
Carry out such projects in a collaborative way
Collate and communicate the results for management

Requirements

Detailed experience of UK Motor Reserving
Ideally capital management
Regular user of ResQ
Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a non-actuarial audience

Nice to have

Experience in VBA and Access databases
SQL expertise
Talented actuaries no longer studying for the exams will be considered
