Job Description

We are partnering with a thriving secondary school in the accessible market town of Horsham that genuinely values Modern Foreign Languages. This is a dedicated KS3 and KS4 German role. By removing A-Level pressure, the school empowers you to focus entirely on building rock-solid foundations in lower years and driving excellent results at GCSE. You will join an experienced, collaborative team of linguists in a well-funded department loaded with fantastic resources.

Job Responsibility

  • Teaching high-energy, engaging German lessons to pupils in Years 7 to 11
  • Preparing Year 11 classes for their examinations using targeted support and innovative, confidence-building techniques
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel enthusiastic and safe speaking a new language
  • Working alongside the MFL team on fresh ideas, cultural events, and curriculum planning

Requirements

  • Holds a degree in German (or equivalent) with near-native fluency
  • Possesses UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has a proven track record of delivering the UK German curriculum effectively up to KS4
  • Must already hold the permanent right to work in the UK
