Job Responsibility

  • Undertake detailed ground engineering analysis
  • lead site investigations and risk assessments (appropriate to your skill set)

Requirements

  • Ideally holding chartership and with significant demonstrable relevant experience (e.g. a minimum of 8 years in consultancy), along with a BSc degree (or equivalent) in geology, engineering geology, earth sciences, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geochemistry or environmental science
  • extensive experience in a broad range of ground engineering work appropriate to your skill set
  • extensive experience of scoping, conducting and interpreting site investigations for a wide variety of schemes including for large / tall buildings in complex urban environments, and for masterplanning
  • proven working knowledge guidance including BS 5930/Eurocode 7, BS10175, CIRIA 552, 665, 733 & 758, BS8485, BRE-SD1, LCRM and WM3
  • ability to use ground engineering software relevant to your area of expertise
  • ability to manage and develop more junior members of the team
  • proven experience in building client relationships both externally and internally
  • excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative and negotiating skills to overcome challenges
