Make your mark as a Geotechnical Engineer at Boskalis! As a Geotechnical Engineer you will be part of Hydronamic, the Boskalis in-house design and engineering department. The department has over 80 specialist engineers from a broad range of design disciplines and provides state of the art, tailor-made engineering solutions for large-scale hydraulic and civil engineering projects, part of the world-wide Boskalis portfolio. We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for digitalization and innovation to join our team. In this role, you will not only apply your geotechnical expertise but also lead the transformation of our digital workflows. Boskalis values and actively supports our in house citizen developers, who can combine their expertise with (Python) programming knowledge, through a Python community of >250 colleagues, to build apps with immediate business value.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital solutions within the geotechnical engineering team
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data management and analysis
  • Translate engineering needs into blueprints for new tools
  • Develop, test, evaluate, and refine applications for optimal usability and performance
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on new tools and digital systems

Requirements

  • At least 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil engineering / Applied Earth Science (or similar) with specialization in Geotechnical engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of Python
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Dutch is a pre
