Geotechnical Engineer

• Undertake Geotechnical design work and support plans and ensure continuity of operations, safely
• Ensure compliance with Strata principal hazard management plan and other relevant strata plans
• Conduct regular geotechnical inspections in all underground areas and provide support to underground operations
• Manage, analyse, interpret and report Geotechnical data, including monitoring data, and keeping Geotechnical databases up to date
• Provide technical support to outbye, longwall and development teams
• Provide Geotechnical input into permit to mine and mine design
• Participate in risk assessments, as required

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in underground mining geotechnical engineering—preference for longwall experience
• Proficiency with geotechnical software tools (e.g., Rocscience or equivalent)
• Strong technical report writing, analytical skills, and communication skills
• Valid Australian working rights and willingness to operate under a FIFO/DIDO roster model from Moranbah or Mackay
• RPEQ qualification highly desirable but not essential
