As a Geotechnical Driller you will be responsible for providing assistance to and working with drilling staff, senior technicians, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers. This position will require a significant amount of travel and working year-round in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
Job Responsibility:
Performs drilling assignments under moderate direction and supervision.
Prepares daily reports and keeps accurate records of drilling activities.
Receives instruction on project’s objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
Sets up and monitors the safety and efficiency of drilling operations with experience working on large drilling projects with multiple contractors on-site.
Assists with ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements and understands soil classifications and characteristics.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well on a team
Must have high school diploma
Lift minimum 50lbs.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in drilling or the construction industry
Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications.
Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and obtain a commercial driving license (CDL).
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
