Job Description:

Perform observations and documentation of geotechnical exploration activities (e.g., soil/rock boring, test pits, pile load testing). Communicate with project manager, other engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor’s representatives and others as applicable regarding the project site, project requirements, testing, observations and results. Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas. Adhere to strict safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
  • Proficiency with MS Office computer programs
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in outdoor/field working/driving conditions
  • Previous experience in Geotechnical drilling/sampling
  • Certification in field of expertise
