Job Description:

Location: Must be able to be onsite in Melbourne, FL Monday-Friday for project execution

Job Responsibility:

  • Process digital satellite/image data to generate highly accurate geospatial image products that meet customer requirements
  • Understand and utilize established image production processes
  • Exercise good judgement regarding data quality and project criteria
  • Deliver a high volume of products to meet customer requirements on a monthly basis
  • Follow written and verbal directions and work in a close team environment
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
  • United States Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years GIS experience required
  • Experience manipulating digital images
  • Must have basic understanding of DMS and decimal coordinate systems
  • Experience with remotely sensed data and image processing
  • Computer competency in Windows environment
  • Experience manipulating digital images using Photoshop or other image enhancement software
  • Practical knowledge of online map applications like Google Maps

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Linux or UNIX operating systems
  • Working knowledge of geospatial industry-standard geospatial software tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Military mapping experience
