Job Description

As a Geologist at SLB, you’ll combine your understanding of earth sciences with a comprehensive knowledge of the latest logging technologies to determine reservoir architecture and hydrocarbon potential. That means you’ll use a variety of data acquisition services and logging systems to understand the structure, stratigraphy, lithology and compartmentalization of reservoirs. Every Geologist role is different and there are a huge variety of projects to get involved with. You could be helping clients understand changes in reservoir rocks during production or be responsible for determining the best place to drill the well with minimum environmental damage. Some of our Geologists help build the tools and systems we use to improve reservoir understanding. Whichever projects you work on, you’ll become adept at multiple software systems and work closely with customers to find innovative ways to solve some of their most complex challenges.

  • Perform facies modelling

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PHD in Geology
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to present factual information clearly
  • Mobility for international travel and assignments
  • Able to adapt to various working conditions and locations
