DCS Corp has an exciting opportunity for a position providing GEOINT Systems Engineer Support - Imaging and Targeting Support (I&TS) to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance / Special Operation Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate (AFLCMC/WI). This position will support the AFLCMC/WIN ISR Sensors Division.
Job Responsibility:
Provide support to Imaging and Targeting Support (I&TS) including airborne ISR engineering responsibility for performing analysis and making recommendations for the Next Generation U-2 Electro-Optical/Hyperspectral Sensor
Assist with defining system specifications, input/output processes, parameters to meet business requirements, and hardware/software compatibility
Assist in developing and leading technical projects
Assist with fact-finding and research as required for the project
Assist with designing test and evaluation requirements based on research and analysis
Assist with establishing and recommending changes to the program which affect performance and advise the Government team and management on matters concerning hardware, software, and future upgrades
Assist with reviewing system interface documentation and technical specifications for AFLCMC/WIN
Interface with all levels of management and personnel and provide acquisition technical and management expertise
Assist with executing engineering design on various systems to include requirements definition and design evaluation
Assist with integrating technology with operational requirements to improve weapons system capability and supportability
Assist with test planning, data analysis and technical reporting
Apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of the DoD to include DoD 5000.01 and DoD 5000.02
Perform data gathering, data entry, and data analysis
Provide operationally relevant GEOINT engineering services
Assist with integrating preplanned improvements or follow-on capabilities to candidate sensors
Assist in translating DoD user requirements into system requirements
Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements
Assist in reviewing the overall system design baseline
Assist in the areas of integrated subsystem controls, environmental control, thermal management, auxiliary and emergency power, mechanical systems, and fire/overheat protection systems
Assist with processes for drafting project documentation, including SOOs and SOWs, program plans, schedules, and presentations
Assist in drafting documentation required by regulations and statues
Assist with reviewing documents and data and providing comments
Assist test teams in the development of test requirements and reviewing test plans
Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility and system compatibility
Assist in reviewing specifications
Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies
Assist in the support and conduct of systems analyses
Assist in supporting the evaluation of IMP, IMS, and SEDS engineering cost estimates
Assist in the evaluation of systems test plans and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing
Provide systems/subsystems integration support
Assist in the development of integration plans, interface management and control plans, and integration test plans
Assist in conducting analyses and trade studies
Assist in review of integration test plans, procedures, and data
Assist in special studies to define alternative interface/integration approaches
Assist in DoD and Air Force system-of-systems acquisition engineering processes
Assist in sensor development and integration on manned or unmanned air vehicles
Assist in producing architectures
Assist in developing a plan to implement the chosen solution
Assist in engineering support including defining GEOINT system and subsystem requirements, system analysis, integration, test, and evaluation activities
Assist in the technical and management aspects of GEOINT requirements
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience, 12 years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
Bachelor’s degree and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
or 30 years directly related experience, 20 years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
