Job Description:

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Leicester. Are you passionate about the world around us and eager to inspire students to explore it? GSL Education is partnering with a well-respected secondary school in Leicester to recruit a motivated Geography Teacher who can engage students with the wonders of our planet and help them understand the importance of geographical knowledge in today’s world.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive geography lessons, aligned with the national curriculum
  • Inspire students to explore geographical concepts, from physical landscapes to human interactions with the environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential
  • Work closely with the Geography department to enrich curriculum content and teaching methods
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement and curiosity about the world

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on educational best practices
